The 1991 Total Solar Eclipse in Baja, Mexico
For my first Total Solar Eclipse, I joined the TravelBug tour in July 11, 1991 to Baja, Mexico. The group stayed at the El Presidente Hotel in San Jose del Cabo, and was joined by a group flying in for the day from Los Angles. Some of the best prominences I have ever seen were during the 6:20 of totality under clear skies. YouTube Video.
Wonderful prominences were seen on the limb of the Sun during the July 11, 1991 Total Solar Eclipse.
From Baja California, the Total Solar Eclipse lasted almost seven minutes.
