The Eclipse on the Altiplano
In November 1994, I was again with the Travel Bug eclipse tour group travelling to Bolivia to see the Total Solar Eclipse. Landing in La Paz at 14,000 feet, we spent a couple of days tour the capital before boarding a train for the Altiplano. After an all night train ride, we arrived at dawn and experienced 3m 17s of glorious totality. Afterwards, we continued our tour to other sites on the Altiplano and Lake Titicaca. YouTube Video.
