2003 Chile - Antartica Total Solar Eclipse
The 2003 Eclipse Flight to Antartica and the South Pole.
In November 2003 was a special eclipse trip organized by TravelQuest. A pre-trip tour took us to the European Southern Observatory in the Atacama Desert, and then to Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory and Gemini South. After touring Santiago and Torres del Paine, we boarded a chartered plane to intercept the eclipse over Antartica. We finished our adventure by flying over the Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station.
