The Eclipse at the Libyan Border
In 2006, the path of the eclipse swept across North Africa before heading towards Turkey. Our TravelQuest group was one of many set up at a truck stop on the Libya-Egypt border. There we were joined by then Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his security entourage for the 3m 55s Total Solar Eclipse. YouTube video.
